Overview
In this project, you are required to make a chair, made entirely out of cardboard. This chair must have good form, as well as function. Your chair must be durable enough to hold Mr. Myrdal, and Mr. Sieg. Your chair also must be comfortable, and have good craftsmanship, which also helps the durability. The form of the chair will be voted on by other students in the school. The grading for the form goes as such: 1st-100 points, 2nd-90 points, 3rd-80 points, 4th and below-70 points, incomplete-50 points. You also must make a presentation, and a work plan. You are also graded on peer evaluation. Each part is worth 100 points, so the final project is worth 500.
How I did
On this project, we did pretty good. I personally got a 84.7/100, which is a B. What we did wrong, is that our chair wasn't very comfortable. Our chair also wasn't very aesthetically pleasing. Our chair got 3 votes, and we were in 6th for the voting, very far behind the first place bench that got 196 votes. Our presentation was pretty good, getting us a medium B. While the peer evaluation gave me a 91.5. From this project, I have learned that form is just as important as function.
